Vanity Plates

By Kevin McCaughey, EL Fellow (US Embassy in Moscow) in Vladivostok, Russia

Cars in America often have "Vanity Plates" or personalized license plates.
The car owners have created messages which can be decoded. They are like little word puzzles.

For example:
JOY2U is "Joy to you!"
SK8R is "Skater" (someone who likes skating)

Professions
Can you figure out the car owner's profession by decoding the meaning of these license plates?

Mixed Messages
And here are some mixed messages. Can you figure out what they mean?
(The first ones are easy, but they get more difficult as they go.)
