Romance Cards: Speaking Game

by Aaron Carlson

WAYS TO PLAY
  • The activity can be done in teams. A player for one team reads the SUBJECT (at the top of the card) to his team. That person then has 60 seconds to describe to his team as many of the related words as possible - without saying the words on the card.

The number of words correctly guessed by the team is written on the board. The next team does the same. When all of the cards are used up, the scored is calculated to determine the winner.

  • The activity can also be done individually with no regard to time. This creates a more relaxed atmosphere where speaking and describing is the main emphasis.

  • Make up your own variant!
