Internet Shorthand

By Kevin McCaughey, EL Fellow (US Embassy in Moscow) in Vladivostok, Russia

In e-mails, and especially in chat rooms, lots of abbreviations are used. Many are acronyms.
ASAP = 'as soon as possible'
Some use numbers as sounds: B4 = 'before'

Even if you aren't an Internet user, you'll enjoy figuring out these abbreviations.
If you can't figure out all the above terms, start with this hint version.
