Contest

"I discover America" Contest

Every kid knows that America was discovered by Christopher Columbus long, long ago. All of us know so much about the country. Some learn about America from books, movies, songs and documentaries. Some of us have been there. For some people, the US is a high tech paradise. For some, the Promised Land of Freedom. For others, it's great films and pop-music.

What does America mean to you? Tell us the story of your personal discovery.

Essays of any length are welcome. Describe your own experience of discovering America - through books, films, Internet, or travel.

We are getting requests to continue the essays contest and postpone the deadline.
The Editorial Board has decided to postpone the deadline till December 31.

The author of the first essay we receive gets a special prize.
